Being at home, we sometimes notice that the sunlight is beaming into the room brighter and longer as summer-time approaches. The reverse is also true as winter-time approaches.
Nowadays, we stay home longer and are no longer chased after by the time as much as before. While smartphone tells you the exact time, we may now want to live our lives enjoying the elapse of time.
OJI Masanori designs IHADA Brass Wall Clocks so that the shadow cast on the wall tells you the twelve hours division.
FUTA-165 Pole Star
There are twelve shafts of light representing the twelve hours. Enjoy the shadow of the shafts on the wall that changes their shape over the course of the seasons. * Note that the 12 and 6 o'clock shafts are slightly longer.
FUTA-166 Luna
Twelve ridges extend on the face of the IHADA moon. Enjoy the soft, ever-changing shadows cast on the rough texture over the course of the seasons.
FUTA-167 Twinkle
Each one of the 12 triangles in the dodecagon has a different tone of twinkling light. Enjoy the twinkles and the gradation of the shadows on adjacent triangles that change over the course of the seasons.
Remarks:
A brass pin for plasterboard is included. It is good for hanging the heavy brass wall clocks up to 7 kg.
OJI Masanori also designs the hands: laser-cut stainless steel plates at a local workshop and painted in-house. There is no second hand in these models.
